These Are The The Inner Mind Ramblings of Me.
I am an American (from and currently residing in Pennsylvania) wife and mother with a twisted sense of humor, an open liberal mind, and somewhat macabre hobbies.
Here is where I like to post things that encompass all my interests. Drop me a note if you would like to ask me a question, or anything else.
If I own it I will say so, if I don't claim it as original, then I do not claim to own it.

A way cool site that tells you who are interested in food history (like me- hell, it is literally my two favorite things in the world!) when your favorite yums came on the scene. Worth a look see for sure.

It’s National Eggnog Day! We recently made George Washington’s eggnog in our New York office. If you want to make a patriotic holiday alcoholic treat in your office next year, follow our lead.
This year I cooked Christmas dinner by myself for the first time like a DAMN ADULT (hell yeah, …I am 35….) and I got to use my antique dishes and rock it the fuck out. Impressed my husband and son and made the table look all pretty….whew! I am goooooood. Ok, ok, well, forgive me but I feel I can brag a little, so heres a picture of my shiny table, all swagged out with smoked turkey, pretzel rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, candied apples and squash, corn, deviled eggs and chocolate peppermint cake with bubbly red grape juice .
what???? This would make for one nasty crumb tray, and what I can only imagine as a constant stream of eletrical and grease fires….
but hey, BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
that was not Mozart who laughed, Father. It was GOD. —— quoted by my french fries, at the diner in Unity, Ohio

Going to a party soon? Need something quick, easy and delicious to bring along? I highly recommend this chocolate chip cookie dough dip! I mean, who doesn’t love cookie dough? It’s a big-time crowd pleaser, it’s easy and it can be ready in no time! I took this to a friend’s party this past weekend and it was a huge hit! I’m telling ya…you need to make this!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 8-ounce block of cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 cup mini chocolate chips, plus extra for sprinkling
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the brown sugar until it dissolves and the mixture starts to bubble. Stir in vanilla and set aside to cool.
In a separate bowl, cream the cream cheese and powdered sugar together for 60 seconds. With the mixer on low speed, add in brown sugar and butter mixture, then the salt. Mix until combined. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
Garnish with additional mini chocolate chips. Serve with animal crackers, nilla wafers or graham crackers.
